Plant Spirits are the energetic, vibrational, and spiritual nature of a plant. Every plant has a spirit! And every plant has a different healing power. For this plant spirit journey, we gather on the Dark (New) Moon in Pisces to explore the depths of Wild Tobacco plant spirit. The Tobacco plant has been used in sacred Mayan rituals where it was burned in caves to feed the souls of the underworld and deliver protection to those who live on earth. According to curandera, Erika Buenaflor, Tobacco has the soul essence of a grandfather, and can impart immense wisdom, clearing, and healing, if approached with reverence and respect. It can be used to make the energies of one’s prayers stronger, and carries the prayers out on its smoke. It can also be used to cleanse a person, space, or pahwawtzli (sacred limpia tools). We will be calling in this sacred plant by it's name and spirit, to aid in supporting emotional release, spiritual healing, and personal transformation. I will be using my sacred drum to guide you all on a meditative trance-like journey into the shamanic realms where we will meet the plant spirit. Each individual will embark on their own journey or vision quest, connecting with the plant spirit in their own personal way to receive guidance, healing or clarity. Plant Spirit journeys give you an opportunity to deepen your connection to nature and cultivate inner-wisdom. You do not need to have prior experience to join this ritual, however, if you are brand new to meditation or journeying, it may take some time for you to deepen into it. Tools for the ritual: -A journal and something to write with. -A candle of choice. -Headphones (best for listening to the drumming) -A quiet place to sit or lay down.
